Fall or flop in December hiring?

Today I will keep it quick.

Christmas season is coming and it means a VERY SLOW hiring process.

To at least grab recruiters’ attention,

I recommend these 3 things:

  1. Always send a personal message in LinkedIn/email to your potential MANAGER.

Whenever you got that info, drop and email. Introduce yourself, say thank you or ask for feedback. 1% of people do that and it really STANDS OUT.

  2. Your CV should be relevant to the position you’re applying for.

For example, if the position is Senior Java Engineer, you can’t send a CV titled “Senior Engineer.” That’s quick to fix and makes 3x better impression.

  3. Prepare a universal 1-2 minute speech about your experience relevant to the position you’re applying for. It should be quick, simple, and straight to the point.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been confused by a candidate’s speech, so having a clear and concise intro will help you stand out right away.

Hope you don’t have to look for job next month but if you do, you can always dm me for help!
