We’ve spent 1,5 months finding a lead gen manager for our client
—about a month longer than usual.
The challenge was finding someone with
experience in massive data handling
and in the same niche.
With an average of 3 interviews per position, we had around 20. All declined.
Our 21st interview today—the guy has no niche experience and no volume expertise.
Our recruiter liked him so much, she had me schedule it for 9 pm!
It’s 10.37 pm as I write this, right after sending an offer to our lucky 21st try :)
In short, he was so sharp and in tune with the market that he exceeded the “hidden for everyone” expectations.
I was slacking the client mid-interview: why are you shining so bright? hehe.
So, hit submit even if you’re not fully qualified, and interview those who might not seem perfect.
Sometimes they are your perfect match hehe.
